HTC is releasing its first virtual reality headset, the Vive, on Friday.
Its debut comes just weeks after Oculus launched a similarly priced $599 headset.
The Vive comes with the latest hardware from HTC and includes a dual-core Nvidia GeForce GTX 980 GPU, eight-channel wireless headset, and a pair of interchangeable controllers.
It’s a solid headset for VR games, but it won’t be for everyone.
We’ll have more on the Vive in the coming days.
If you want to jump in head first, you can get the Vive at the Oculus store, where it’ll be $599, and at Amazon.
The Vive is available in two configurations, the Standard and Deluxe models, which come with an Oculus Touch controller.
The Standard model comes with a $150 pre-loaded SteamVR bundle.
The Deluxe comes with an $200 SteamVR bundled with a free copy of SteamVR, the game’s VR headset.HTC Vive is designed to be used in virtual reality headsets, rather than a traditional head-mounted display.
While you’ll be able to see your entire body, there’s no display to see how your eyes are focused.
Instead, you’ll need to look up at a wall, or look up to see a VR character.
You’ll also need to use the Vive controllers to move around.
The VR headset uses the Oculus Touch controllers, which are designed to feel like real, human hands, but with extra sensors for tracking your body.
They are also designed to look like your real-world hands.
The Oculus Touch Controller uses sensors on the back of the Vive controller that can detect how your body moves.
Oculus has said it wants to improve tracking in VR and have controllers that will work with a range of VR games and experiences.
Htc has released the Vive for a limited time, so we’ll be updating this article to provide more information as it becomes available.
